How to Convert an Image to Text
- Choose the language written in the image: English, Hindi or both.
- Tap the upload box, drag an image in, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V.
- Wait while the text is read. The first time, the reading engine takes a few seconds to load.
- Check the text in the editor, fix any small mistakes, then Copy or download it as .txt or a Word file.
How Does Image to Text Work?
The tool uses OCR (Optical Character Recognition). It looks at the shapes in your picture, recognises letters and words, and writes them as normal text you can edit. Everything runs in your browser using the open-source Tesseract engine, so your image is never uploaded.
Hindi Image to Text
Choose Hindi for Devanagari text, or English + Hindi when a page mixes both. Printed Hindi in books, notices and screenshots usually comes out well. Handwriting and decorative fonts are harder to read and may need more corrections.
Tips for Better Accuracy
- Use a sharp, straight photo with good light and no shadow.
- Crop the picture to only the text you need.
- Pick the correct language before uploading.
- Big, printed text works best. Very small or blurry text may give mistakes.
