🔒 Your file never leaves your phone or computer

How to Convert PDF to Text

  1. Keep Read scanned pages with OCR ticked if your PDF is a scan or photo.
  2. Choose the language for scanned pages.
  3. Upload the PDF.
  4. Copy the text or download it as .txt or a Word file.

Normal PDF vs Scanned PDF

A normal PDF (made from Word or a website) already contains real text, so it is copied instantly and exactly. A scanned PDF is just pictures of pages; for these the tool uses OCR to read the letters, which takes a little longer and may have small mistakes. The result shows how many pages were read with OCR.
