How to Compress a JPEG to 20KB
- Add your photo (JPG, JPEG, PNG or WEBP). The size is already set to 20 KB.
- Wait a second while the tool finds the best quality under 20 KB.
- Check the new size shown under the preview.
- Tap Download. The file is saved as a JPG.
When Do You Need a 20 KB Photo?
A 20 KB JPG is usually asked for signatures, thumb impressions and small photos. A 20 KB file is very small, so a big phone photo will lose some pixels. For a passport-style face photo or a signature this still looks clear.
Always check the exact rule in your own form, because some forms also give a minimum size or exact pixels.
Will the Photo Look Bad at 20 KB?
The tool never just shrinks the photo blindly. It first lowers the JPG quality in small steps and checks the size each time. Only if that is not enough does it reduce the width and height slightly. So you get the largest and clearest picture that still fits in 20 KB.
- Crop extra background before compressing to keep more detail on the face or text.
- Start from the original photo, not one that was already compressed.
- If your form also needs exact pixels or cm, use the Photo & Signature Resizer.
